Jungle George began in 2007, when I founded a children's brand in South Africa built around seven hand-drawn themes - each with its own cast of characters, first sketched on paper and then embroidered onto baby linen, stitch by stitch. Then they slept in a box for nearly two decades while life happened.
Now they're coming back, one collection at a time. Jungle Jive is the first - Leo, Gem, Ella and Mo, helping children build calm daily rhythms through morning charts, bedtime wind-downs, feelings check-ins and gentle affirmations, built on encouragement, never pressure.
About the characters: their souls were drawn in 2007, but they have grown a little since. Today they live as watercolour illustrations, developed from those original sketches with the help of AI tools and then reviewed and refined by me - true to who they always were. Every page a child sees passed through my hands. The routines, the words and the philosophy are entirely my own.
Paper, then linen, now here.
Six more original themes are waiting in the wings.
The original Jungle George linen - embroidered in 2007.
Four gentle companions, each with a message worth growing up with.
“I can be brave in my own way”
“I can take my time”
“My feelings matter”
“Trying is enough”
Most routine tools reward perfection. We celebrate trying.
Missing a day should never feel like failure. Coming back is what we celebrate.
The feelings page is for reflection, not discipline. All feelings are okay.
A star means "I tried", not "I was perfect". Trying is always enough.
Rhythm over rules · Trying over perfect · Feelings always matter
🌱 The jungle is growing
Gentle routines, feelings check-ins, and the same four friends - no streaks, no pressure, and it works offline. Be among the first families to try it.
